The mission of the South Carolina Foster Care Review Board is to provide external accountability for the foster care system and to advocate on behalf of children in foster care.
South Carolina will make child well-being a top priority by assuring safe, permanent families for all children in foster care.
During calendar year 2012, Local Review Board members from 42 Local Review Boards demonstrated their commitment in the following ways:
- 14,430 volunteer hours
- 8,424 hours spent reviewing cases of children in foster care
- 51 service projects completed by local review boards to support foster children and those who serve them

Children in the SPOTLIGHT
Brothers Junior and Trey are seeking one family who will adopt them both. Junior loves music and hopes to have a job in the music industry one day. He describes himself as quiet and intelligent. Trey loves drawing and painting and wants to be an engineer or mechanic. He states that he is funny, smart, and talkative.
