OVSEC Updates
  • Victim Service Providers (VSP), OVSEC will notify you via letter once you have acquired your annual 12 hours of approved training.

  • Additional hours(up to 12) can be carried forward to apply toward your annual certification requirements for the next calendar year.  In order to receive carry forward hours, a request must be made in writing to OVSEC.

  • Presenters or instructors, who are registered VSPs, can now earn up to 6 hours of annual credit for presenting at conferences and training sessions approved by OVSEC.  This can be done by printing your name on the Presenters Training Sign-In sheet available at conferences and training sessions approved by OVSEC. The remaining 6 hours must be attained by attending/participating in any approved OVSEC trainings.

  • Past Presenters Information
Presenters interested in obtaining credit for any past approved OVSEC trainings held from January 1, 2009 through June 8, 2009, must make a request to OVSEC via email or letter.  Please inform OVSEC of how many hours of credit you may have from presentations you have conducted.  OVSEC will then confirm your credit hours after reviewing our records.

If you have any questions, please contact OVSEC at 803-734-0357.
